[edit] Before Nephod

Before becoming Nephod, he was known on many gaming and animating forums under the internet alias of Izzy during early 2004; until he abandoned this alias for the name Ettenks. Nephod (at this point still known as Ettenks) frequently grew tired of his internet aliases and discarded them when he felt necessary while adopting a new one almost each month until eventually going under the name of Steelius.

It was under the Steelius name he submitted his first animation to popular flash animation portal Newgrounds. In early 2005 the Steelius alias was abandoned for the alias of Nephod which is his longest serving alias to date. All other accounts have been terminated since and if present should no longer be attributed to Nephod; the only account of Nephod's to survive this fate was his Newgrounds account by using the previously implemented name changing system of the site.

[edit] Naming of Nephod

Pronounced "Nef-Odd"

The origins of the name come from Nephod hearing the word Nephew, Although hearing the word many times before he never thought about the 'Neph' sound present in the word. Liking the 'Neph' sound he originally hoped to be known as Neph, but chose not to after discovering another artist popular in numerous communities know as Nef. He decided to add an extra sound to the end of 'Neph' which was going to be 'os' creating Nephos; but after a Google search of that name turned up with results for a supposed ancient god of death and decay, he chose to exchange the 's' for a 'd' thus producing Nephod.

[edit] T.U.M.P: The Oracle

Is a short parody aniamtion made literally in the second time Nephod opened Flash MX. It was submitted to Newgrounds on the 12/12/2004 and was met with poor reviews and a below average score. Submitting his second movie ever made is a mistake Nephod has regretted ever since, but rather than deleting the movie; he has left it intact in a sign of good will to show that everybody has to start somewhere. He plans to remake the animation someday for comparison and self-redemption purposes.

The animation contained poorly designed anime/chibi like character based on the appearances of actors in the first Matrix movie and equally poor voice acting delivered by Nephod credited under the name of Nathan 'Steelius' Steel who played the majority of the roles.

Nephod chose not to submit anymore animations to Newgrounds until he felt like he had improved.

[edit] 2005

On May 18th Nephod joined the art community known as Sheezyart. He has remained there ever since and occasionally submits his artwork to the site.

Sometime after October 30th Nephod's personal computer got fried by static electricity after installing Windows XP (though these occurrences are not related in any way). This caused 2005 to be slow year for Nephod.

Christmas 2005 marked Nephod's pseudo return to animating by producing a very short animated Christmas Greeting on Christmas Morning using his friends laptop. The animation was only submitted to Sheezyart and can be viewed Here.

[edit] 2006

January 22nd marked the day Nephod got a new computer along with a wacom tablet. A day later Nephod submitted an audio clip to Sheezyart with himself impersonating Solid Snake singing along to the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater theme song, this was one of his most viewed submissions of the year.

A month later Nephod submitted to Sheezyart a short music video animation to I am Cow by The Wiggles. This animation showed a vast improvement from his previous submissions but Nephod chose not to submit it to Newgrounds due to the animation's short running time.

March 25th marked Nephod first true venture into impersonation but making use of Sheezyart's newly implemented audio feature and submitting Voices of Nephod Vol. 1. It was highly well received and Nephod opted for a sequel that would surpass the original: 'The Ultimate Voices of Nephod' which to this day still has not been released.
