Mr. Gobi is a flash animator who first started animating in small Newgrounds.com collabs in 2004. He worked around a small site called Katatoonz, a site for flash animators, before the site failed an was taken off the internet. He loves the work of David Firth and Adam Phillips and many would say that his early works reflected this. In 2006, he launched a series called "MoreLikeBlue" that was a hit on internet sites.

[edit] 2004 : From humble beginnings
Gobi first started animating for a few newgrounds collabs. He did his parts very well and soon started to meet other new animators just like himself. He worked with a former animator named "RazorJam" who had a site called Katatoonz for his amateur animation. Unfortunately, the site was taken down when RazorJam decided to be a programmer.
[edit] 2005: Original Shorts
This year, Gobi started to come up with original stories usually based on his comic strips. The most well known of which was "Floyd the Snail". "Floyd the Snail" started to build Gobi a small fan base because it had a decent visual environment and an epic story for an unfortunate snail.

In 2005, the defining event that really caught the eye of the viewers was Gobi's Halloween short called "After Work". A very simple story with stunning lighting and animation, some would say based off of Adam Phillip's early works. This was the defining moment when people started to say, "This kid is pretty good". Gobi's fanbase grew...
[edit] 2006: He Threw a Curve Ball!
Gobi released his series called MoreLikeBlue based off of his internet comics. Many didn't see this coming because everyone enjoyed Gobi's works more for his detail in art. Instead, what they got was a simple monochramatic animation featuring random comedy. Viewers on Newgrounds.com went nuts for it! Following the success of the first episode, Gobi released a MoreLikeBlue Halloween short, which seems to be his favorite holliday...
