Cartoons

Luis (He prefers it pronounced 'Lewis' but his mom would want you to pronounce it 'Lu-ees') has been animating since 2000. His first cartoon was Perverto Episode 1 and has created roughly 40 movies/games since. He is probably best known for his deep involvement the collaborative aspects of the flash scene.

[edit] 2000

The early years of Luis' splash of a still relatively unknown flash scene were directly influenced by Newgrounds. Series such as Scrotum the puppy and Jesus Fighter originally inspired him to explore Flash as a medium of causing contraversy and mischief. As a result, animations such as Perverto came to life. The rebelious and edgy humor of Newgrounds was the spark that feuled the interest. At this point in time, Luis had a fair amount of experience in drawing with a mouse and has never abandoned that skill despite the availability of high-end tablets. Most of this year has been dedicated to doing parody and typical immature animation.

[edit] Perverto

This short series created in 2000 is prime example of the parody and toxic interest in 'pee pee' humor Luis had at that time. The series revolves around an African American character named Perverto, who barges on the scenes of popular (at the time anyway) entertainment icons and cartoons. The series went 4 episodes deep and has a cult following despite the fact that Luis is very embarassed that these relics even exist. Perverto will NEVER make a come back. NEVER.

[edit] Buckshot

Buckshot was a character that was deeply influenced by the Newgrounds' Assasin character. The idea of this particular character was that like the Assasin he disposed of annoying celebrities. The distinguishing factor was that he did so in a more hitmanesque style. Buckshot is the more calculated assasin, while Assasin had a no-holds barred guns blazing type of personality. Buckshot made a few appearances between 2000-2002. The character has since been retired.

[edit] 2001

This was a relatively quiet year for Luis. Interest in the Flash scene faded and there was very few cartoons made during this year. Regardless, this was a very important year in future growth as its a very early experimentation with purely letting audio tell a story. No Remorse was his first real forray into building an animation purely from music, commonly refered to as 'mickey-mousing'. This would eventually become his calling card in future works when he moves towards more mature themes. No Remorse was relatively novell idea at the time, there were very few authors in the Flash scene exploring 'serious' themes. No Remorse was loosely based on the artist's own frusterations and the seriousness of the tone can be traced to Blanco y Negro by Raz
