Loathsome is an animator and artist from Sweden. He put his interests in animation back in October 2003.

Before Loathsome started with Flash MX, he was doing his best by animating with Moviemaker because at the time, he did not know of how to make flash animations, he did neither know about the software. Newgrounds caught Loathsomes' attention about animating. At the time, he didn't have the same screen name as he is curently using. He had been using unoriginal names when he started out. In 2003 he went with the screen name Subzerooo.

Loathsomes' friend Jonas (who's screen name is Beldrama) gave Loathsome the tip of starting to animate with a new software called FlashMX 2004 pro. Loathsome found the program too advanced and hard to learn so he just kept using Moviemaker. But as time passed he convinced himself that he should get into animating with Flash.
[edit] Flash and Newgrounds
Loathsome started to animate with flash and created small loops to learn how the program worked and had hopes to submit his animations to Newgrounds. Unfortunately he did not understand Newgrounds' system, he submitted his loops which got blammed by other Newgrounds members. This got him to understand that Newgrounds wasn't a place to submit testes to. It was at this time he looked up tutorials which he learned from and practiced to get better.

Loathsome got his interests in Lock Legion by watching Wonchops' animation; Knuckles vs Cloud. So he thought of making a own Lock Legion flash. Thus creating a flash called; The Presentation Loathsome got reviews from other Lock Legion members telling him that he was not a "true" Lock Legion member if he didn't sign up at the forums, which he later did. Yet, before he joined the Lock Legion he tried stopmotion animation. These animations weren't a big success and got blammed. But they were appreciated greatly by one NG (Newgrounds) member named McNeb. He introduced Loathsome into his website and wanted him to animate for him.

Loathsome joined the Lock Legion, now calling himself "Evil Lock". He was accepted warmly and stayed for a while, finding that the forums helped.
[edit] Most Productive Year
The LL (Lock Legion) was simple, easy designs and you didn't have to be very experienced with the language to create flashes since the voice software the LL used (Speakonia) did the work for you. At this time, Loathsome created a lot of Lock Legion flashes.

Loathsome started into frame by frame animation more and more and his first try was a stickfigure flash called BullZhit, as he made this he gave him self a side-off screen name which was called ThaEvil, he used this outside of the Lock Legion.
[edit] McNeb Drama
McNeb joined the Lock Legion and accidentaly made two accounts, which he got in trouble for. Loathsome tried to get him out of it but got in trouble himself. They were still friends and thought of making a flash together. The flash was made with the concept of mocking an animator named Piconjo, it was at this point Loathsomes' downhill came. The day after Loathsome and McNebs' animation was submitted, Piconjo made a response flash to the two. This gave Loathsome a really bad name around the LL and so, Loathsome was in deeper trouble.
At this point, McNeb tried to explain to the LL what's going on but he made it too big and he got hated, also banned. Loathsome never wanted to get involved with McNeb again so he went to animate by himself from that point on.

Lock Legion had changed a lot. Hate grew and Loathsome got involved in it, eventually making the decision to leave. Although, after months of practicing human drawing some of his friends from Lock Legion wanted him back but it just caused more drama and later on he got banned. Loathsome didn't want to be involved with the Lock Legion again and he spent more time on another community.

Just before he left the Lock Legion he made a Sheezyart account, and he used the current screen name, Loathsome. He started to learn how to draw anime, but never succeeded because he realized it was not what he wanted. So he kept his own style combined with a few of the things he learned from anime. He made a lot friends on this community and that was where he made a name out of him self.
This year was less productive because of all the drama that was caused and Loathsome made only two flashes this year. Also, he started a collaboration.

October 2007, Loathsome had been a member of Sheezyart over a year and during this time he had made a lot of small projects and tests. So he put together a One Year Showcase. Loathsome also started to create characters for upcoming flashes. One of the flashes was "The Birth" which he started on but never finished because he found himself lacking drawing experience, so he started to draw more rather than animating.
Later on a member of the Lock Legion contacted Loathsome again, who's name was Psi43. He wanted him to be a part of the upcoming Lock day. Loathsome said no but Psi43 convinced him so Loathsome made a small piece for it and also joined a small collaboration.

[edit] Art Style Changes
In January Loathsome's art style changed from anime to cartoon. He stated that he had been drawing cartoon at his school and that he was almost as experienced with cartoon as with anime, and that it will be easier to animate.
He is yet still drawing real life/realistic drawings as well as cartoon.

At the beginning of march 2008, Loathsome got banned from Sheezyart from commenting and later on completely. Due to this and his disinterest, Loathsome left Sheezyart and joined the art website Deviantart and also displaying some of his artwork at various forums.

After seeing a lot of artists getting their own websites, Loathsome decided to do the same. He created the website "Loathed" and hoped on getting a dot com domain in the near future.
[edit] New Newgrounds Account
Loathsome wanted to start fresh so he decided to delete his flash submittions from Newgrounds. He decided to create a completely new account which he would only submit serious flashes to. The name of the account didn't change much, just from Loathsome to Loath-some.

Loathsome worked a lot for his media school in 2009. Drawings for trips representing what the school and what the school is doing. The animation "Claudio - Cookies for Breakfast" is dedicated to his school as well.
In the summer Loathsome took painting classes which helped him to improve greatly.

Loathsome is currently working on an animation project called "Claudio - Cookies for Breakfast (episode 1)". He's mainly practicing with lifedrawing at the moment.
