[edit] The Beginning

After discovering High Score in late 2003, and later on Bonus Stage and also Homestar Runner, he got very interested in Flash animation, but didn't really have a style. After getting a copy of Flash from a friend he started to fiddle around with it, after almost getting to grips with it, he decided to make a Flash about a fictional band. Needless to say, it was pretty terrible. He got all of his friends, and even one of their dad's to do voices for the horribly written script which didn't really have a plot and managed to complete it within a few days and was released around April, bvhj then continued to work on a music video for "Cheer Up!" by Reel Big Fish, which was the worst music video ever witnessed.

[edit] The Random Show

May and June were slow months, after making 2 flashes in April, bvhj explored Flash a little bit more for those 2 months and then started to be a bit more productive after getting a tablet. On the 2nd of July he released his first Flash with his new found knowledge of Flash and also his first Flash created with his friend, Stephen Neil. This flash was called "The Random Show". It sucked, but we were proud of it regardless, it consisted of annoying screaming and that was about it, really. On 4th July a sequal to the Random Show was released and it was even worse, and being released just 2 days later proves how easy they were to make and how low the quality must be. Bvhj remade the intro sequence for episode 1 in February of 2006, but nothing more has been done with it.

[edit] Sider Dave

After watching Spider-Man 2 on a pirated DVD, bvhj and Stephen Neil were in a spidery mood which was kind of stupid, and then they started to taunt their friend, David Rickets and started to call him Spider Dave. The idea was so incredible that bvhj and Ste decided to make a Flash about it, Ste storyboarded and scripted it, where bvhj animated it, as usual, and also provided voices. Guest vocals were provided by Sam Daly who sang the theme song for it. Spider Dave focuses on a normal boy, David Rickets, who gets bitten by a radioactive fish and gets spider powers, etc. On 14th September a sequal to Spider Dave was created, this featured bvhj's new 'style' of drawing and wasn't as good as the first, but all of the old crew returned and there was even a cameo by Jonny, bvhj's brother. In 2006, bvhj promised to have episode 3 out some time that year, that promise was BROKEN.

[edit] Father-Tree

On April 19th, a friend was staying over, this friend was James Slawson, they recorded some funny noises along with bvhj's brother (Jonny) and made 2 flashes (which both sucked), James then had a great idea of making a Flash and him and Jonny got working on the script, which consisted of mostly stolen jokes and terrible dialogue inbetween them. They called it "Father-Tree Relationship" after one of the (stolen) jokes within the script. Bvhj still hadn't gotten to grips with tweening, layers or symbols at this point in time. A few months passed and bvhj didn't really make much flash, but was still trying to get to grips with it, after learning more about layers, symbols and tweens and getting a tablet he decided to remake the first episode of Father-Tree Relationship which was released on 3rd July. Bvhj was proud of what he had created, as it was alot better than the original, although, it still had the same awful voices and consisted of only tweens, and couldn't wait to show James. James saw it and was impressed, and got the idea to make a second episode to the series, he spent another night over at bvhj's house crafting the script with Jonny. It kept the same formula, 3 friends going on WACKY adventures and spurting stolen jokes. Episode 2 was released on 24th July. Some time in August a 3rd episode was released, it featured small redesigns of the main characters and introductions of new ones. This was the first flash to feature bvhj's voice after it had broken. Episode 4 was released on 27th September and focused on the protagonists going to the beach, despite bvhj now using the brush tool to create the newer characters, the structure of the episodes still hadn't changed, it was still mostly tweened, however, episode 4 featured bvhj's first ever use of FBF animation, and it wasn't too bad. Production of Father-Tree eased off for a while, but on 13th February 2005, bvhj released episode 5b, it featured redesigns of all characters and was a vast improvement over all of the previous episodes. Initially, it was supposed to be the resurrection of the series, it was called 5b as the actual episode 5 was supposed to be a Halloween episode and explained the redesigns, bvhj has thought up a story arc for the episodes 6-10 of Father-Tree, but they were never created. In 2006, bvhj announced the end of Father-Tree, despite there being talks of restarting it, nothing is happening.

[edit] Pimp My Wheelchair

On 18th December, bvhj and Sam Daly released a spoof of the popular TV show "Pimp My Ride", called "Pimp My Wheelchair", it was jam packed with in-jokes, and was hosted by Stephen Hawking, but Sam did his voice because we didn't know how to get it. Some of the designs used in PMW were unconventional to bvhj, as he was still trying to establish a style, some are his crappy Jhonen-esque designs where some aren't, and they just look querky. PMW also includes some FBF which was rare at the time for him.

[edit] 2005-2007

At the start of 2005 bvhj was working in a crappy Jhonen-esque style of drawing, after realising how unoriginal it was, he wanted to develop his own, original style of drawing, after alot of trial and error he now has a very distinctive style, the progression of this style is shown in episodes of MGS:TAS where each episode has a better, developed style than the last.

[edit] The Talmonator

On 6th April 2005, bvhj and Stephen Neil released another movie spoof, this time of the Terminator, though watching it, you'd never be able to tell. A redesign was made of the Talmonator back in 2006, but no work has begun on the 2nd episode, however a few ideas have been tossed around for it.

[edit] MGS:TAS

Bvhj's main and most successful cartoons are those parodying Metal Gear Solid, an idea thought of by him and Ste back in 2004 when all the buzz was around for MGS3, and also inspired by MGS:The Twin Noodles, a script was written and designs were created. The inital idea was to make a few episodes parodying the whole plot to the game, series 1 would be of MGS1, series 2 would be MGS2, and so on. That idea has been scrapped. The first episode was released on 24th June 2005 and was done in bvhj's shitty Jhonen-esque style which sucks, and alot was done with the pencil tool, but during production bvhj discovered the wonders of the brush tool and early examples of that can be seen during the flash. It was well received on Newgrounds, and got a front page slot and a Daily 4th award. Bvhj was surprised as he didn't really think it deserved it, but whatever. A non-canon halloween special of MGS:TAS was released on October 31st 2005, and featured Snake getting attacked or something, it was pretty much just for fun, like the rest of the episodes, and also lack of original characters, it was all done with the brush tool now bvhj had explored with it and gotten to grips a bit more with it, it also featured some FBF which seems to be some of bvhj's best, especially since he had moved away more from the Jhonen-esque style. Episode 2 was released on 30th November 2005, it took longer than expected to create, as there were troubles with the script being lost about twice, and sound files going missing and having to re-record them, etc. it also had a slight change in style, as with all of the episodes. Unlike episode 1, episode 2 went under the radar and only a handful of people realised episode 2 had been released, bvhj thought it was alot better than the first episode, but enjoyed not being hastled by the Newgrounds community about it. Episode 3 was released on 21st April 2006 and was received well on NG and got a daily 2nd award, it once again had redesigns of the characters in, and looked better than ever now bvhj had developed their own style more and had more FBF in than anything he'd done before. Episode 4 was finally released on December 30th 2006, after some difficulties creating it, it was finally released, however, it is still incomplete, and will probably remain that way. Like episode 2, it went unnoticed on Newgrounds, and like all the other episodes, all the characters had been redesigned and made alot better now that bvhj's style had developed alot more, and everything looked alot better. A pattern is emerging. The script for episode 6 has recently been completed and work will begin soon, but there's no telling when it'll be released. There will be a total of 11 MGS:TAS episodes, including the Halloween episode and then the series will be finished. Forever.

[edit] The future

Bvhj has begun work on a remake of Jon Hicken's "ASDA:The Animated Series" episode, and is expected to be released some time in the Fall, despite saying it'll be out this summer. He is currently devoloping ideas for original flashes to work on, such as Supermassive (working title) and Me'n'Me (working title), which are expected to be released in 2008 maybe.
