Don't bother writing an article if...
  1. You're going to write virtually nothing and do not plan to expand on it.
  2. You're only promoting yourself and not being encyclopedic.
  3. You're not taking it seriously.
Before you write an article...
  1. Make sure you know how to make one.
  2. If you don't, go to the focus page, and learn how. Every resource you need is there.
  3. If you have questions or are stuck, search for answers here and elsewhere, or ask rtil, evilagram, Shida or a friend.
While writing an article...
  1. Be encyclopedic.
  2. Check your facts.
  3. Do not personalize your writing. Speak in the 3rd person, do not be opinionated, and be neutral.
  4. Use proper grammar and spelling.
  5. Have fun.
After writing an article...
  1. Do not let your article become outdated. When something new happens involving the subject of the article, update it.
  2. Add the page to your watchlist, to make sure it is properly maintained. Adding a page to your watchlist notifies you if it has been edited since your last visit.
